Two consequences worth knowing
- A plan can stop before the on-screen figure reaches zero, because the reading was taken a while ago.
- Heavy use — video calls, streaming, cloud photo backup — outruns the reporting cycle by a wide margin. Turn off automatic backups before you travel.
Your phone counts differently
Your device’s own data counter and the network’s counter will never match exactly; they measure at different layers and reset at different times. The network figure is the one that governs your allowance.
