SAIMING INC., trading as SAIMING.

About these terms

These terms are between you and SAIMING INC., which trades as SAIMING. They apply when you use this website and when you buy a plan from us.

By placing an order you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not order — and if something in them is unreasonable, tell us rather than agreeing to it silently.

Our privacy policy and cookie policy form part of these terms.

Your account and eligibility

  • You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
  • You must give accurate details. We deliver eSIMs to the email address on the account, so a wrong address means a delivery you cannot reach.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep the password to yourself and tell us if you think it has been compromised.
  • One person, one account. Do not create accounts to evade a restriction we have applied.

What we are selling you

A prepaid mobile data allowance, delivered as an eSIM profile, usable in the destinations covered by the plan you chose, for a fixed period from purchase.

What is included

  • Mobile data, up to the allowance you bought.
  • Coverage across the destinations listed on the plan page.
  • A validity period of 365 days from purchase.

What is not included

  • A phone number. Our plans are data-only.
  • Voice calls and SMS over the mobile network. Calls and messages through apps work normally, because they use data.
  • Any guaranteed speed, technology generation or specific local operator.
  • A physical SIM card. There is nothing to post and nothing arrives by mail.

Coverage, and its limits

Each plan covers a defined list of destinations, published on that plan’s page before you buy. Coverage is a property of the plan, not of our brand — buying any plan does not entitle you to connect everywhere.

Two limits we will not bury

  • Our widest plan is named Global, and it does not cover every destination our supplier lists. The destinations it excludes are published on the plan page and on the coverage page. Please read them before you buy.
  • Our supplier bars service entirely in some territories. No plan we sell can be made to work there, and we will not sell you one that claims otherwise.

Coverage can change if our supplier changes its arrangements with a local operator. We do not control that, and it can happen mid-plan. If it materially affects a plan you are using, contact us.

When your plan starts and ends

Validity starts when we provision the plan with our supplier, which happens as soon as your payment clears. It is not triggered by installing the eSIM, and it is not triggered by first connecting.

  • There is no activation window and no grace period.
  • The plan cannot be paused, extended or transferred to another person.
  • The plan ends 365 days after purchase, or when the data allowance is exhausted, whichever happens first.
  • Unused data and unused days have no cash value and are not refunded.

Buy close to your trip

Because the clock starts at purchase, buying months in advance simply spends part of the validity before you travel.

Your device is your responsibility

An eSIM can only be installed on a device with eSIM hardware that is not locked to another carrier. We publish an indicative device list and the checks that give a definitive answer, and we ask you to run them before you order.

  • We cannot see whether your device supports eSIM, and we cannot see whether it is carrier-locked.
  • A profile can normally only be downloaded once. If you delete the eSIM from your device, reinstalling may be impossible.
  • If your device turns out to be incompatible after we have provisioned a plan, the validity has already started and the plan is generally not refundable.

Orders, prices and payment

  • Prices are shown and charged in Hong Kong dollars. Any other currency shown on the site is an approximate conversion for orientation and is marked as such.
  • Your bank converts the charge at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. That difference is between you and your bank.
  • Payment is taken through our payment provider’s hosted checkout. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Your order is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we confirm the order and provision the plan, not when you click pay.
  • If a price is displayed incorrectly through an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than supply at the wrong price. We will tell you promptly if that happens.

How we deliver the eSIM

Delivery is digital and immediate. Once payment clears we provision the plan and publish the activation details on your order page, and send the same details by email.

  • A QR code for installation.
  • An SM-DP+ address and an activation code, for devices where scanning is not possible.
  • The plan details, including the destinations covered and the expiry date.

If the details do not appear on your order page within a few minutes of a successful payment, contact us. Do not buy a second plan on the assumption that the first one failed.

Fair and acceptable use

These plans are for personal travel use. The restrictions below exist because our supplier applies them to us, and because abuse by a few would end the arrangement for everyone.

  • Do not resell the data or the eSIM profile, or supply it as a service to third parties.
  • Do not use a plan for permanent residential connectivity in a single country, or as a substitute for a fixed line.
  • Do not use the data for automated machine-to-machine deployments, bulk messaging, or any commercial deployment across multiple devices.
  • Do not use the service for anything unlawful in the country you are in, or to interfere with any network.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent the allowance, the validity period or the coverage restrictions.

If we or our supplier reasonably believe a plan is being used in breach of this section, we may suspend or terminate it. Where we can, we will contact you first.

What we can and cannot promise about quality

Your eSIM connects as a visitor on local mobile networks. The quality of that connection is determined by those networks, by where you are standing, by how busy the cell is, and by the radio bands your device supports. None of those are within our control, so we do not promise a speed and we will not imply one.

  • We do not guarantee a minimum speed, a particular network generation, or a particular local operator.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Networks fail, and maintenance happens.
  • Usage figures we show you come from our supplier on a periodic cycle. They are a recent reading, not a live meter, and they may lag your real consumption.

What we do commit to is telling you the truth about all of the above before you buy, and looking at the actual state of your eSIM with our supplier when something goes wrong.

Refunds and cancellations

We provision your plan and are charged for it the moment your payment clears, and the validity starts at the same time. That is why a provisioned plan cannot be returned like a physical product.

We will refund

  • A payment taken where no eSIM was ever provisioned.
  • A duplicate charge for the same order.
  • A plan we provisioned incorrectly, where what we supplied does not match what you bought.

We generally will not refund

  • A plan that has been provisioned and delivered, including one you chose not to install.
  • A plan bought for a destination it does not cover, where the coverage was published on the plan page.
  • A plan that cannot be used because your device lacks eSIM support or is carrier-locked.
  • Unused data or unused days.
  • Poor local network performance, where the eSIM was connected and working.

Ask by contacting us with your order number. We check the actual state of the eSIM with our supplier before answering, and we will tell you which of the cases above applies. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method.

Statutory rights come first

Consumer law where you live may give you cancellation or refund rights beyond this section, including in some places a cooling-off period for distance contracts and rules about when it is lost for digital content supplied immediately. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have by law. Which regimes apply to us is one of the open items at the top of this page.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account, or terminate a plan without refund, where there is fraud, a chargeback made in bad faith, a serious breach of the fair use section, or where our supplier requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will contact you before acting and explain why.

You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account from your account settings. That does not entitle you to a refund of a plan already provisioned.

Our liability

We are responsible for supplying what you bought and for doing so with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for things genuinely outside our control, and we are not going to draft a clause pretending we are responsible for nothing.

  • We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
  • We are not liable for loss caused by a local mobile network failing, by your device being incompatible or locked, or by you using a plan outside its coverage.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — a missed booking, a lost business opportunity — arising from a connectivity failure.
  • Subject to the above, our total liability for any claim relating to a plan is limited to the amount you paid for that plan.

The enforceability of this section depends on the law that governs these terms, which is one of the blanks a lawyer must fill in.

Intellectual property

The site, its text, its graphics and the SAIMING name and marks belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them except as our brand guidance permits, and you may not present yourself as us.

Our brand assets page sets out what you may do with our logo. If you need something beyond it, ask.

Changes

We may change the plans we sell, their prices and these terms. Changes apply to orders placed after the change, not retrospectively to a plan you have already bought.

If we materially change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects an active plan, tell you directly.

Complaints

Contact us with your order number and what went wrong. We will acknowledge it, look at the actual record of your eSIM, and give you a reasoned answer rather than a template. If we got something wrong we will say so and fix it.

If we cannot resolve it between us, the dispute route depends on the governing law and any consumer redress scheme that applies — both of which are open items at the top of this page.

Governing law and jurisdiction

The law governing these terms and the courts that would hear a dispute have not yet been settled. This is deliberately left blank rather than filled with a guess, because getting it wrong would mislead you about where you stand.

Whatever is chosen will not remove the protection of mandatory consumer law in your own country of residence, which in most jurisdictions applies regardless of what a contract says.

If anything here is unclear, or you need the position on an order you have already placed, contact us directly rather than guessing.
